Until recently scientific balloons
dominated the use of what has
become known today as
Near
Space. There is currently an explosion of new technology
under development which utilizes
the region of our atmosphere
from 50,000 feet upward.
Applications include being used for communications, data
relay,
surveillance and intelligence.

altitudes up
to 45 kilometers.
Research institutions around the
World such as Japan's Institute for
Space
and Astronautical Science,
NASDA in Japan,
and the Italian
Space Agency also use
our high
altitude scientific balloons.
Ultra-long duration balloons can
stay aloft for
up to 40 days,
retrieving valuable information
for researchers. Please visit our
